October's Advanced Card Class

This months cards were so much fun to create.  I used the new My Little Yellow Bicycle line "Sweater Weather". The colors and patterns are so fun they make the cards look so great. They also have some great embellishments and we will be using some of them on the cards.  The stamps I  used are Just Rite Stamps and we will be giving away the scarecrow set at the class if we have the minimum number sign up.
The Happy Fall card is a spinner card (the single pumpkin actually spins), I used Copic markers to color in the scarecrow.  The pumpkin card is a recessed window card.  I used Just Rite and Tim Holtz stamps , along with the awesome pumpkin spellbinders. The witch card is a treat slider card.  You are able to slide a part of the card to get the candy out, so you don't have to tear the card up to get to the candy.  I again used a Just Rite stamp on this card.
I can't wait to see all of you at my class on Thursday October 20th at 6:00.  If you've never taken a class of mine you are in for a fun time and you will learn lots of tips and techniques. These cards will really impress your recipients, if you decide not to keep them for yourself. Please bring basic supplies - trimmer, scissors, adhesive - wet and dry, pop dots, black memento ink pad, tiny attachers, Distress inks - walnut stain, spiced marmelade, antique linen, crushed olive, and ink applicator.

The tear bears are back - what talented ladies. We had a wonderful class in June - thanks for making it so much fun.
Each bear turned out with it's very own character - different and unique just like it's creator . None of them were the same. If you want more bombard Mary with your Emails. She needs to her your growing enthusiasm. I love to bring to you yet another tear critter - they are so much fun.
OK enough about that; I want you to see what the class did.

TESTIMONIAL TO SHARE!!

This came thru my email recently and thought I would share with everyone. It speaks very highly of the store, but also of all you Sassy girls who keep us on our toes!! ENJOY!!

Dear Mary,

My husband and I travelled to Nashville from Calgary, Alberta, Canada earlier this month for the CMA Music Fest - our first to the area.

We were directed by our hotel to some of the chain stores for scrapbooking supplies and they didn't have anything that was Nashville or Tennessee specific. They didn't have anything that different from our chain stores and their prices were comparable with ours.

I found your store on the internet and we decided to give it a try. I was so impressed with your store. The selection of items in your travel section was like none I had ever seen. Your store was well organized, your prices were good - many cheaper than here and some the same, certainly nothing over priced. The work area was a dream space - I wish my stores here had that space instead of the back room with no windows. Your store is the best store I have ever been in (and I have been in quite a few in many provinces and some states).

I have forwarded your store information to the concierge at our hotel in the hopes that she will send visitors your way! I know they won't be disappointed.

THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH KAREN . . . YOU HAVE MADE OUR DAY!! Mary,Allison,Julie & Erin

Tuesday, June 7, 2011

Just wanting to send out a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who took the time to remember me on my birthday!! Sometimes it is difficult realizing there are more chapters already written in your book than there are yet to write . . . and I guess I was really feeling it this year. From the cupcakes to the hugs, the balloons to the songs, the fruit bouquet to the well wishes . . . you all went above and beyond to make my day a special one. I love you all and am forever grateful!!! Mary

Layout of the Month - LOTM

Hello All!

Yesterday was June's LOTM and it was just a blast! I very much enjoy seeing all of your lovely, smiling faces when you come in to see us! Our birthday themed LOTM was a perfect for kicking off the summer in an exciting and fun mood!!!

For those of you who don't know what "Layout of the Month" (LOTM) is . . . it is a program that we offer here at Sassy Scrapper where: On the first Saturday of every month, we at the store create a layout and give YOU the supplies to make it. Then, on the first Saturday of the NEXT month, you bring back your completed page for us to see :) and we give you the supplies to make the next layout. The best part about this program is that it is ONLY $20.11 for the ENTIRE YEAR! That is 12 DOUBLE PAGE LAYOUTS FOR TWENTY DOLLARS!!! Another GREAT PERK about this program is that every month, we focus on a different technique and theme, so you are constantly learning new things and creating lots of layouts!

I hope those of you who are not involved may reconsider, because it is just a fun way to complete pages and meet people AND be INSPIRED to create many more pages with the new techniques you have just learned!!!

OTHER exciting news: WE HAVE OUR FATHER'S DAY IDEA TABLE UP for you to come in and start thinking about what you wanna make Dad for Father's Day! Here is a picture!

All for now Sassy Girls!!! And I hope to see ALL OF YOU very soon!

Excited for June!

Hello all you Sassy Ladies!

Today is busy day here at Sassy for me. I've been working on some layouts and sassy cuts for y'all! Last night was the Teacher Appreciation Crop and we had seven sassy girls here croppin' til Midnight! It was such a nice thing to celebrate the end of the school year with these teachers!

We have a Memorial Day Crop coming up on Monday, May 30! So if you don't have anything to do, or even if you do, take some time to celebrate, by scrappin' away with us here at the Sassy Scrapper!

I AM SO EXCITED FOR JUNE! We have so many fun things planned, and of course, IT IS THE BEGINNING OF SUMMER!

Some fun things that we have planned are:

Wednesday, June 1st -- SENIOR DAY Workshop/Crop - this is the first Wednesday of every month where we celebrate Seniors! You also get 10% off of your purchase!!!

Saturday, June 4th -- LAYOUT OF THE MONTH (LOTM) - A year round program Sassy has for you to create 12 layouts a year! We supply the materials and layout, and you go from there with your creativity! ***We try to focus on a different technique every month, so you learn something new!*** If you're not a part of it already, GIVE US A CALL AND JOIN!!!

Sunday, June 5th -- Advanced Cards with Amy (these are the same cards from May) Her June cards will be later this month!

Friday, June 9th -- "CMA" Party Late Night Crop - I am so excited to be living in Tennessee now, because up here WE CELEBRATE THE CMA's!!! With cropping, BBQ (yum!), country music, and maybe even a live performance by one of our own sassy girls! :) I hope you all can make it! Don't forget your western attire :)

Saturday, June 10th -- Creating with COPIC - FINALLY a Copic class for everyone who is interested in copics, or just to learn new techniques on how to use them!

Satuday, June 25th -- Summer "Tear Bear" Class - JULIE has done it again! She has created the CUTEST tear bear . . . with a floatie tube around it for the summer! Come on and learn how to create your own tear bears!

Those are just some of the MANY classes that we are offering in June at the Sassy Scrapper! I hope all of you come to at least one. If none of these are for you, check our website, on the June Calendar for many, many more! I promise that one will be JUST FOR YOU!

Another reason why I love the month of JUNE (minus the cicaydas) is . . . it's FATHER'S DAY! The perfect time to celebrate DADDY-O's! We will be having a Father's Day layout class, as well as having different layouts/projects displayed in the store to help you create the PERFECT gift for HIM!

SO EXCITED FOR THE BUSY MONTH OF JUNE! And for Memorial Day, too! Hope to see all of you very very soon!

Always,
--Erin--

Show me your LOTM

It has been good to see so many of you today. I've looked at a lot of wonderful layouts. Great job ladies. LOTM is one of my personal favorites here at the Sassy Scrapper because we get to see the REAL you portrayed in your pages; your style your way. Thank You again for sharing the most wonderful part of your life with us, your memories.

** NOTE: **
For those of you who asked me for the quotes inside of the scalloped circles they are as follows:

Good Luck - Look forward to seeing your master pieces.

MAY ~ LOTM

~ GIRLS ~
It is finally the first Saturday of the month; I've been waiting for several weeks just for this occasion. If you're a "SASSY GIRL" you know what today is ~ LOTM (Layout of the Month). Don't be late and don't forget to stop by the Sassy Scrapper TODAY, I designed this LOTM just for you ~ I hope that you will like it as much as I do.

So as you have figured it out this LOTM is MY design ~ yes I am a bit excited and can hardly contain myself. If I would have to wait much longer I think I would explode. IT's my very first LOTM design and I worked on it especially in honor of all who share their love like a momma.
